Jaz Pumps is a world-class Steam Jacketed Metering Pump Manufacturer in Mumbai, India, known for delivering reliable, high-performance pumps that meet international quality standards. Our steam jacketed pumps are widely used in chemical plants and process industries where viscous and semi-solid fluids must be handled efficiently and consistently.
Steam Jacketed Metering Pumps are in high demand due to their robust construction, seamless finish, excellent suction capability, and precise delivery performance. These pumps are specially designed to handle fluids that tend to solidify or thicken at ambient temperatures, ensuring uninterrupted flow through controlled heating via the steam jacket.
Design & Working Principle
The Steam Jacketed Metering Pump operates on a positive displacement principle and is equipped with a rotor and idler gear assembly. A crescent-shaped component separates the inner and outer gears. As the rotor gear drives the idler gear, cavities are formed between the gear teeth, allowing fluid to be trapped, carried around the casing, and discharged smoothly at the outlet.
The steam jacket surrounding the pump casing helps maintain the required fluid temperature, preventing crystallization or solidification during operation. This design makes the pump highly efficient for handling highly viscous liquids, where increased viscosity improves the accuracy and efficiency of the displacement mechanism.
